See how you can invest and
serve at CPC, in our local community,
or around the world.
Our faith is meant to make a difference in the world around us.
Serve at CPC
Serving opportunities at CPC come in a variety of forms and levels of commitment, and we encourage you to explore the ways you can invest in the life of our church, and if you’re ready to start a conversation about any of these opportunities, let us know!
Create a welcoming experience as a member of our First Impressions team, help out behind the scenes with our production team, or lead worship with our choir or contemporary worship band.
Kids & Students
Help our youngest CPCers (6 weeks-5th grade) experience the love of Jesus or be a champion and faith mentor for students (6th-12th grade). You can also help with check-in, classroom support, or hospitality.
Extend the comfort of God by serving as an usher, reception worker, or baker for Memorial Services, knitting a prayer blanket, joining a prayer team, or visiting seniors, new parents, or those who are hospitalized. *Some opportunities require Lay Care Training.
Help other adults grow in their faith by leading a new small group or becoming part of a community leadership team, helping to plan events and programs for men, women, or young adults.
Serve as a receptionist, volunteer at our bookstore, or help maintain our building and grounds by joining our gardening or building maintenance groups.
Join our social media team! Take and share pictures capturing the life of CPC.
Work alongside our Twin Cities partners to alleviate poverty, enact social justice, and grow the Church.
Urban Ventures Tutoring
Become an after-school tutor-mentor with our partner, Urban Ventures. Training will be provided.
Serve Refugees with Arrive Ministries
Form a Good Neighbor Team to walk alongside a refugee family for a year with local partner Arrive Ministries.
Loaves and Fishes Bloomington
Join other CPCers on the third Friday of the month as we prep and serve a hot meal to anyone who needs it. Each month, we issue a call for volunteers, and you can serve when it works for you.
We partner with local ministries in global regions that are working to bring hope, reconciliation, and justice through the love of Jesus Christ.

South Texas with Border Perspectives
March 19-24, 2023
Led by the team at Border Perspectives, we’ll have an immersive, educational experience to intentionally place us in the lives of immigrant leaders serving families at the US-Mexico border. Together we’ll learn about the complexity of immigration at the border and contribute to broader service opportunities that support local ministry partners. Open to ages 14 and up (under 18 needs a parent/guardian).
Israel with Nazareth Evangelical College
June 9-19, 2023
Join us where Jesus walked and is still walking today! We’ll pilgrimage together through the land of the Bible and learn about the modern-day peacemaking efforts of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Part Holy Land tour, part partnership visit, this trip will be an awesome way to connect the past and the present with where God is leading us to witness to peace into the future.
Colombia with Opportunity International
August 5-11, 2023
Bienvenidos a Cartagena, Colombia as we visit our partner, Opportunity International and see first-hand how they help families living in extreme poverty build sustainable livelihoods! Together, we’ll check-in on CPC-supported projects, encourage community members and leaders who participate in OI’s programs, build relationships with OI staff, and learn about God’s heart for “shalom” for all people. In return, we’ll also be encouraged, challenged, and inspired to live out the call of Jesus to love and serve others well. Open to ages 15 and up (under 18 needs a parent/guardian).
*Scholarship options are available for CPC members for all trips. Email the missions team at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
