Leadership at CPC is comprised of pastors, staff, and elected elders. Our leaders serve as dedicated ambassadors of CPC, inspiring and equipping our community to be open to how the Gospel moves and to spread Christ’s love near and far.
Senior Pastor
Petey became Senior Pastor in 2020, after serving as Executive Pastor of CPC for three years. Petey is the primary preacher at CPC, and is responsible for the spiritual, pastoral, and administrative leadership of the congregation and staff. Petey desires to share the saving grace of Jesus to those far from God—as well as equip and motivate the church to be “on mission” where God has placed them. Prior to his move to Minnesota, he worked in churches and ministries that represent a range of geographical, cultural, and economic contexts. Petey has a Doctorate of Ministry in contextual theology from Northern Seminary and a Master’s in ministry leadership from Portland Seminary at George Fox University. He is married to Ashley and has two daughters.
Elders are church members who serve as Christ-centered leaders and stewards of CPC’s mission, values, and vision. Elders partner with CPC staff to approve and enact church plans, priorities, and financial decisions. They are nominated and approved by CPC members to serve a four-year term.
