Care & Support

Integrating care into the fabric of our faith.

In every season of life, we believe God is up to something. At CPC, we strive to care well for one another all the time—through joy, health, sickness, and sorrow. If you need support or are navigating a new season of life, we’d love to care for you.

Opportunities to Receive Care

We seek to be people who give and receive the love and care of Jesus through community support and counsel.

In an urgent situation, call the Pastor On-Call Emergency line at 877.311.7678.

Visitation & Assistance

Hospital Visitation

When CPC congregants are hospitalized, in transitional care, under hospice care, or have limited mobility, they can request a supportive visit. One of our pastors or care volunteers will show up to provide compassionate presence and prayer.

Senior Visitation

Whether homebound or not, we invite seniors to request a visitor. Volunteers from our community meet seniors in their place of living about once a month to spend time together and share in fellowship.

New Parent Support

After parents welcome a new child into their home, one of our care staff or volunteers will offer to stop by, deliver a gift, and check in with the new parents to provide prayerful support through this life transition.

Helping Hands Meal Delivery

Through our meal train delivery service, volunteers can sign up to prepare and bring meals to CPC community members in need.

STARS (Short Term Assistance Reaching Seniors)

For seniors who request short-term assistance after a health event or life change, we have volunteers who help with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and transportation.

Prayer

In-person Prayer Team

Every Sunday during worship, the CPC in-person prayer team—comprised of volunteers from our community—is available to provide a listening ear and prayer.

Virtual Prayer Team

Prayers submitted online or during worship are received by CPC pastors and shared, as appropriate, with our virtual prayer team who pray for our community all week long.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Volunteer knitters create prayer shawls for our community. Prayer shawls can be found in the prayer room at CPC and can be delivered as needed/requested.

Opportunities to Provide Care

We are always looking for volunteers to help make our Care Ministries happen.

Memorial Services

Volunteers can support memorial services by being an usher/greeter, providing baked goods, or setting up, serving, and/or cleaning up the reception.

Edynamoes

Volunteers can support Edynamoes by serving a meal and helping to facilitate devotions, programming, and fellowship.

Some programs require Care Training prior to volunteering. This training covers the foundations of how to walk alongside someone in difficult or transformative moments. Volunteer roles that require Care Training include: leading a support group, hospital visitation, senior visitation, new baby/parent visitation, and joining the in-person prayer team.

Care Training is held over the course of six evenings, usually Mondays from 6:30-8PM at CPC.

Counseling

CPC Pastors offer support, care, and counsel to those in need. Our pastoral counseling services included one-one-one meetings with a CPC pastor, referrals for professional help, and resources to find assistance and support during a time of need.

Memorial Prayer Garden

Located south of the CPC Sanctuary, the Memorial Prayer Garden provides a sacred resting place for members of our church community. Its paths, benches, fountain, and landscapes encourage peaceful reflection, prayer, and thanksgiving.

Members can purchase an urn to be kept at the Garden columbaria, scatter their loved one’s ashes in the designated Scattering Garden, and/or purchase a Memorial Wall engraving.
