The Story Your Life Tells

by Petey Crowder, Senior Pastor

For the CPC staff, this issue of CPC Life is our absolute favorite every single year. Why? Simple—we get to tell stories of what God has been up to in YOUR lives! We get to make a big deal about how Jesus has been changing the way you see and serve others. And we get to see how the invitation of Jesus has been delivered and opened! We hope you enjoy these stories as much as we do and, more importantly, we hope you consider what story your life is telling.

When we serve others, we not only follow in the footsteps of Christ, but we get stretched in our relationship with Him, as well. Over Lent we read in Mark 10:45 how Jesus tells His followers that He “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Even during the atypical year we’ve had, we’ve been so encouraged to witness so many in our community willing to take Jesus up on this invitation to care for and love others.

As you read the following stories of CPCers serving Jesus—and as you consider your own journey of knowing and following Him—we hope you’re also reminded that the Christian life is one meant to be shared. We serve alongside others in the Body of Christ as a reminder that we’re part of something so much bigger than us! In that spirit, as you read these stories and consider what God is saying to you, I want to encourage you to continue engaging with CPC over the months ahead. And, if you feel comfortable, we’d love to see you in person!
