Ending Well–Hospice Care: Myths & Truths Workshop

Hospice care is truly one of the most helpful offerings available to families at end-of-life. Ironically, at the same time, it’s also one of most misunderstood. There are many misconceptions and myths about what Hospice is and isn’t. For instance, did you know that:

• Hospice is not just for the last few days or week of life, depending on one’s diagnosis.
• Hospice is a Medicare benefit covered at 100%.
• Hospice comes to wherever you call home at the time, whether it’s a private home, a facility, or a hospice house specializing in end-of-life care.

These and other myths and truths will be discussed, along with the benefits of hospice. This will be an interactive workshop, with plenty of time for questions and answers.
