Why are we doing this?
One of the many special things about CPC is this church’s enduring 67-year legacy. Since 1956, we’ve been based right here at 70th street and Highway 100, meeting weekly in the name of Jesus Christ. And since 1956, we’ve only had three senior pastors, which is remarkably unique in the broader church world. Petey Crowder was installed in 2020—right in the middle of a pandemic—and we’re so grateful to God for how he has continued to strengthen and grow CPC through these big changes. And now we’re ready to look to the future with fresh vision. Because, as proud as we are of our legacy, we know we can’t rest on it. God is calling us to keep looking forward. What will mark the next chapter of who we are as a church and how we serve Jesus Christ?
